Our commitment to quality — the exact process every device goes through before it reaches you.

At Easy Connect Solutions Malaysia, "refurbished" is not a label we use lightly. Every device we sell has been systematically tested, restored, and certified through our 24-point audit process. This policy outlines exactly what that means — so you know precisely what you're getting.

1. Our Grading System

All devices are graded before listing. Grades reflect cosmetic condition only — functional performance is guaranteed to Grade A standard regardless of cosmetic grade.

Grade A — Like New

  • No scratches, dents, or marks visible during normal use.
  • Screen is free of dead pixels, cracks, or discoloration.
  • All ports, keys, and buttons function perfectly.
  • Minor manufacturing marks only under direct light.
  • Battery health: minimum 80% original capacity.

Grade B — Good Condition

  • Minor cosmetic imperfections such as light scratches on the casing.
  • Screen is fully functional — no cracks or dead pixels.
  • All functional components operate to factory specification.
  • Battery health: minimum 75% original capacity.
  • Cosmetic marks do not affect performance or daily use.

2. Sourcing and Procurement

We source devices exclusively from:

  • Tier-1 Malaysian and regional corporations undergoing fleet upgrades.
  • Certified ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) partners with documented chain of custody.
  • Government and institutional tenders with verifiable asset history.

Every sourced unit arrives with documented serial numbers. We do not purchase hardware from unknown or unverified sources.

3. Our 24-Point Audit Process

Before any device is listed for sale, it passes through the following checks in our facility:

Physical Inspection (Points 1–8)

  • External casing — check for cracks, dents, and structural damage.
  • Screen — check for dead pixels, backlight uniformity, cracks, and colour accuracy.
  • Keyboard and trackpad — every key tested for responsiveness.
  • Ports and connectors — USB, HDMI, audio, and charging ports verified.
  • Hinges and lid — opening/closing mechanism tested for smoothness.
  • Battery contacts and compartment inspection.
  • Speaker and microphone functionality test.
  • Camera functionality (where applicable).

Data Security (Points 9–12)

  • Military-grade data wipe using NIST 800-88 compliant methods.
  • Storage media verification — confirmation that all previous data is unrecoverable.
  • Hard drive or SSD health check (CrystalDiskInfo — health score reported).
  • BIOS/UEFI firmware cleared of any previous user configurations or passwords.

Hardware Diagnostics (Points 13–20)

  • RAM stress test — full pass using MemTest86 (zero errors required).
  • CPU performance benchmark — output compared against factory reference.
  • GPU test — rendering and thermal performance verified.
  • Storage speed test — read/write speeds within acceptable range.
  • Battery capacity test — health percentage measured and recorded.
  • Thermal performance — fan operation and temperature under load.
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity test.
  • System board — no signs of capacitor or power circuit failure.

Refurbishment and Configuration (Points 21–24)

  • Physical cleaning — internal dust removal, screen and exterior cleaned.
  • Component upgrades where necessary (e.g., RAM, SSD replacement).
  • Fresh operating system installation with licensed copy of Windows (where applicable).
  • Driver installation, Windows activation, and final performance verification.

4. What's Included

Unless otherwise stated, all devices include:

  • Genuine power adapter (may be a high-quality compatible adapter for older models).
  • Fresh OS installation (Windows 10 or Windows 11 where hardware supports it).
  • Minimum 6-month warranty from date of delivery.
  • Audit report available on request — showing serial number, grade, and test results.

5. Warranty Under This Policy

All products sold under this refurbishment policy are covered by our hardware warranty (see Terms & Conditions for full details). In the event of a functional failure within the warranty period, we will repair or replace the device at no charge. Corporate clients receive priority swap service.

6. Transparency Commitment
